In the early sixties thermal spring was found in Nyíregyháza under the ground. In this time the saline lake did not satisfy the needs of the citizens. Then drilling was started  and iodine-bromide water broke in. A lot of founts were drilled in the next years. These founts filled the pools of the Park Bath which are awaiting for the people. The children can enjoy 2 different pools.

The north part of the Sóstó Lake is a fishing lake, the south one is a beach. The Lake shore was filled up with sand from the Tisza river. The thermalpool is 40 m3 large, and 37-40 C hot. The Lake bath can welcome approximately 1300 guests. Restaurants, beach volleyball, buffets serves the visitors.

If you stay in the centre of Nyíregyháza visit the Julia Bath. This is for those, who like complex facilities. You can swim, enjoy thermal water, can find recreation, and healing services, dry steam-sauna, wet steam-sauna, massage, 30 m long pool, healing pools in different temperatures. In case of any rheumatic or spinal diseases the following treatments can be used: medical massage, grouped physiotherapy under water, rehabilitation, after-care.

It was opened in 2000 for those who willing recovery and rest. The pension has 12 double, 2 triple and 2 single rooms, and 2 apartments for bigger families. Each room is equipped with modern pieces of furniture has bathroom and toilet, minibar, TV and phone. The pension has its own parking place. A big pool with thermal water and sauna is of service to the guests. You can enjoy massage as well. Services are free of charge in the bathing house for pension guests.
